About NewGolf

Making Golf Launch Monitor Technology More Accessible

NewGolf was built by golfers who believe more people should have access to the swing video and launch data that can make practice and improvement more informed.

Why We Built NewGolf

NewGolf started from our own experience as golfers. We knew how useful launch monitor data could be when working on a swing, but we also experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to access regularly.

Traditional launch monitor hardware can be expensive to own, individual sessions can add up quickly, and availability at golf facilities can be limited. For many golfers, that means practicing without the objective feedback they’re looking for.

We wanted more golfers to have the opportunity to see their swing alongside launch data during everyday practice, without needing to own expensive launch monitor hardware or depend on limited access to it.

That’s why NewGolf was designed to make launch monitor technology more accessible for playerscoaches, and golf facilities – and give more golfers the opportunity to better understand their swing and Swing with Vision.

From Golfer to Founder: Sancho Rodriguez

Raised in Sotogrande, Andalucía, Sancho Rodriguez first picked up a club at two years old. Golf eventually took him from Spain to the United States, where he earned golf scholarships and competed at the collegiate level.

When COVID interrupted collegiate golf during his junior year, Sancho began spending more time studying swing mechanics, launch monitor data, and the relationship between movement and ball flight.

As he studied different golfers and their swings, one idea became increasingly important to the way he thought about improvement: there is no one-size-fits-all golf swing. Players can move very differently while still producing effective results.

That experience shaped Sancho’s view that understanding a golf swing requires looking at more than how the swing appears. Swing video can show how a golfer moves, while launch data provides objective information about the result that movement produces.

This thinking became part of the foundation for NewGolf: bring swing video and launch data together so players and coaches have more information to understand individual swings, evaluate changes, and follow progress over time.

Four years later, NewGolf has developed into a golf technology platform that turns smartphones into golf launch monitors, making swing video and launch data available through partner golf facilities.

The name NewGolf reflects Sancho’s belief in a more informed approach to understanding and improving the golf swing, where feel, coaching, swing video, and launch data can work together.

That’s why we say Swing with Vision: NewGolf gives golfers more information to understand their swing and make informed decisions about their game.

NewGolf’s Approach to Golf Swing Analysis

Sancho’s experience as a golfer and his work developing NewGolf helped shape an idea that remains central to the platform: building a golf swing is both art and science.

The Science

The science is in what can be measured. Launch data provides objective information about what happened during a shot and gives players and coaches something concrete to compare as the swing develops.

The Art

The art is in understanding the individual golfer. Players move differently, and experience, feel, and coaching all matter when determining which changes make sense for a particular swing.

NewGolf brings synchronized swing video and launch data together, giving players and coaches both perspectives when they analyze a swing and evaluate progress.

What We’re Building at NewGolf

As NewGolf grows, we want to stay close to the people who use it. Players, coaches, and golf facilities have helped shape the platform, and their experience will continue to influence how NewGolf develops.

Our focus is on making NewGolf genuinely useful in the places where golf is practiced and taught, continuing to improve the technology as we learn, and giving more golfers access to information that can help them better understand their game.

We built NewGolf because we love golf and believe more players should have the opportunity to understand their swing through both what they see and what the data tells them.

That’s what it means to Swing with Vision.
